This topic is a hard one, free websites are obviously good because they are free, but they are also bad and very frustrating for the very same reason. Fake profiles are a major problem with free BDSM sites and ive lost count of how many times ive been "had" by someone pretending to be something they are not. ( normally this turns out to be a guy pretending to be a woman) After a while this becomes frustrating and extremely off putting. Also from my time around the lifestyle ive heard afew interesting and sometimes funny stories normally from female subs, this mainly revolves around certain types of Dom or Domme thinking if they have sent one e-mail to you they own your ass. As a Dom myself I just want to say that this really only happens online and should more or less be laughed off. Now thats the bad points of free BDSM personals websites but there are good points. If you stick around long enough you will talk to and meet alot of genuine nice people and you can pick up some really good information. In all honesty its about sticking with it. You do have to wait 7 days before you can send memo's etc but thats why its a good site, fakes tend to get bored quite quickly and waiting around for 7 days doesnt appeal. Well as you may have seen there are load of these types of websites nowadays and to be honest the old term "you get what you pay for" doesnt always hold true. Personally if I was going to pay $60 or $70 a month id be wanting a solid gold membership card and a gift voucher for Harrods. But there are some sites that dont want crazy money and are actually really good, the reason being fakes dont want to pay money. Dont get me wrong you'll still get the occasional message that makes you laugh but id say on a whole those are greatly reduced.
